COVID Impact on Higher Education

This pilot study was implemented as evidence for a large funding proposal. The goal of the study was to use the context of the Covid-19 pandemic to understand the ways students and faculty alike deal with disruptions in order to achieve their learning and academic goals.

This project specifically focused on what occurred in a Calculus I course at a Research 1 institution through the use of surveys and interviews. As Agnoletto and Queiroz observe, “the mark of this time is uncertainty.” This universally unsettled time provided an opportunity to investigate the nature of educational disruption (Courtesy of Luther Duncan).
